Overview
FlashCT® is an advanced industrial computed tomography (CT) system for high speed 3D imaging using for reverse engineering, NDT&E, explosive ordinance inspection, and for models based engineering (MBE). FlashCT® incorporates an amorphous silicon (a-Si) flat-panel detector, coupled motion control and state of the art software to produce high-quality CT results.
The FlashCT® system is built with the user in mind. FlashCT® is built on the Windows® operating system, allowing for maximum flexibility in today's industry. FlachCT utilizes high speed distributed computer processing that dramatically lowers analysis time.

Successful computed tomography requires useable software. FlashCT® combines three user-friendly apps for data acquisition, processing and visualization. FlashCT®-DAQ controls exposure times, data calibration and motion control, all from a single computer. FlashCT®-DPS converts the raw image data to true 3D form with fan, parallel and cone beam reconstruction algorithms. All reconstructions can be run on a multiprocessor Windows cluster to provide an affordable solution for dramatic (16X to 36X) reductions in processing time. FlashCT®-VIZ brings real-time volume interaction to the 3D dataset. Slice animation and interrogation are coupled with advanced volume rendering to garner visual access to the interior of the tested component.
