Take the guess work out of implant placement
IMTEC DigiGuide™ SOFTWARE SUITE
Using
3D imaging and surgical guidance when planning and placing implants of any
diameter is rapidly becoming the standard of care. To meet this growing need,
IMTEC will soon introduce DigiGuide™ MDI Software and DigiGuide™ Custom
Surgical Guides. With IMTEC DigiGuide™ MDI software, doctors will
be able to evaluate a patient’s anatomy 3-dimensionally through manipulation
of a CT
scan, virtually place MDI implants and send data to IMTEC Corporation
to manufacture a custom surgical guide. The combination of this new software
and use of the custom surgical guides takes the guesswork out of MDI
implant placement.
IMTEC DigiGuide™ MDI Software Features:
Features of DigiGuide MDI Software include the ability to map the inferior alveolar nerve. The software also provides a panoramic X-ray for mesio-distal spacing evaluation and saggital slices for evaluation of buccolingual width at any location in the arch. DigiGuide™ MDI provides the ability to evaluate the orientation and thickness of an existing denture at any location in the arch as well. This leads to more informed case selection and surgical planning which leads to simpler, safer and quicker MDI surgeries as well as fewer complications when retrofitting an existing denture.
The software features a built-in IMTEC MDI implant library for easy selection of the perfect implant for every MDI implant site. An “Auto-Placement” feature spaces implants in ideal orientation and quantity based on the patented, proven IMTEC MDI placement protocol for stabilization of upper and lower dentures. This allows dentists to place implants with confidence based on a technology driven platform and protocol and leaves only minimal manual adjustment to the virtually- planned implant sites. Ultimately, these features will help doctors stick to the placement protocol that has been proven to lead to MDI implant success rates of up to 98%. Manual location selection for each implant is also possible for cases in which standard protocol is not applicable.
DigiGuide™ software automatically generates a design for a DigiGuide™ Custom Surgical Guide based on the virtually-planned implant placement. This design is sent electronically to IMTEC Corporation for precision manufacturing by simply clicking the “Send” button.
IMTEC DigiGuide™ MDI Custom Surgical Guides:
Once manufacturing of the custom guide is complete, the surgical guide with built-in titanium sleeves is shipped directly from IMTEC to the DigiGuide™ doctor along with IMTEC MDI implants and metal housings specific to the case plan and one sterile MDI Pilot Drill. The custom, tissue-born guide can then be applied to the surgical site and used to assist DigiGuide™ doctors in performing simpler, safer MDI implant surgeries.
