in Biochemistry from Oklahoma State University
and graduated with honors from the University
of Oklahoma College of Dentistry in 1985. Dr.
Bulard received postgraduate training in Implant
Dentistry from the Medical College of Georgia.
He is the author of numerous publications and
articles and holds seven United States patents
in the field of dentistry. He also serves as a
State of Oklahoma Forensic Dental Examiner and
was named one of eleven outstanding entrepreneurs
by the Oklahoma Department of Commerce in 2002.
In
1998, Dr. Bulard modified the Sendax MDI design
to include the critical "O-ball" concept,
resulting in the granting of a patent by the U.
S. Patent and Trademark Office.
As
Chairman of the company’s Board of Directors,
Dr. Bulard is responsible for the promulgation
of board policies and procedures for management
and growth of the company. He also serves as chief
technical advisor to the company, involving himself
to a substantial extent with new product and systems
development such as the Hexed-Head dental implant
system he originally designed in 1986; the ACCESS
curved bristle toothbrush; and the O-Ball concept
of the Sendax MDI. Under Dr. Bulard’s leadership,
the company has grown to thirty-eight active international
distributors who sell IMTEC products in over eighty-five
countries. He has extensive teaching and academic
credentials, including stints in the Department
of Oral Pathology of Oklahoma University College
of Dentistry. Dr. Bulard is currently serving
a dual appointment as Clinical Assistant Professor
in the Department of Oral Implantology and the
Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at
O.U. Dr. Bulard resides in Ardmore with his wife,
Patsy, a registered dental hygienist.
