ARDMORE COMPANY WINS VENTURE OF THE YEAR AWARD
Ardmore. IMTEC Corporation, an Ardmore based dental specialty products company, was named the 2007 winner of the Grace and Franklin Bernsen Oklahoma Venture of the Year Award on Wednesday. The award, offered annually by the Oklahoma Venture Forum, honors the Oklahoma company that has made the most progress in business technology. OVF, a non-profit corporation organized to encourage economic development in Oklahoma, works to increase the utilization of Oklahoma’s resources, resulting in the establishment and growth of new and existing business ventures. The 2007 award was presented to IMTEC CEO Tim Thompson at the annual awards banquet at the Cox Convention Center in conjunction with the Bricktown Capital Conference. Attending as representatives of IMTEC were, in addition to Mr. Thompson, Stephen J. Hadwin and David Phillips, Executive Vice-Presidents, Nathan Verner, CFO, Derrick Harvey, I.P. Counsel, Tony Davis and Scott Keating, Vice-Presidents, Tim Ott, and Dr. M. K. Patterson, Jr.. Thompson, Hadwin, Keating, Ott and Patterson serve as directors of the local company, which has domestic offices in Ardmore, Oklahoma, Los Alamos, New Mexico and Boulder, Colorado. Thompson became CEO of the company in March after the merger of IMTEC and HYTEC, Inc., an Engineering and Technology company headquartered in Los Alamos. Phillips and Davis are headquartered in Los Alamos, Keating in Boulder, Colorado, and Ott resides in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Dr. Patterson, a retired senior vice-president of IMTEC, resides in Oklahoma City. “This award is about the great employees at IMTEC, I’m very proud to be of the team.” said Tim Thompson.
